Grieving Video #5 - William D. Milton is a survivor and still learning to deal with grief, but is moving forward. Bill says he didn't know he was grieving. He came home from work one and found his second wife, Sue, had died from a heart attack while sleeping. Taking charge of the situation, Bill did what had to be done and moved forward. A second relationship ended when Jeannie passed away in the hospital after several days of treatments for heart condition. Although Bill had spent most of his time in the hospital with Jeannie, her family requested that he not attend the funeral and, again, Bill dealt with the feelings of sadness alone. For a short time, he and Karen enjoyed a relationship for Bill did not know she was an alcoholic whose doctor had told her to stop drinking or she would die of kidney failure. But as with all addictions, it was difficult for her to quit and she passed away. How does one deal with the loss of three partners in about 7 years? With great difficulty. Bill has decided to spend some time grieving "his way" and we all wish him well.
